In this blog we are going to discuss the differences between adults and teenagers when it comes to sport and what they do to lead a healthy lifestyle. Our research is based on the responces we got from the participants in the ERASMUS Project, their parent and grandparents. We got 45 responces from the elderly ( 50% of which parents and 50% from the grandparents as well). Also 50 responces from our peers.
1. DO/DID YOU PRACTISE ANY SPORT? Acording to the charts the majority of the elderly said that they did practise sport in the past. the same goes for the teenagers. It is safe to say that nothing has really changed over the past few decades.
2. HOW OFTEN DO/DID YOU PRACTISE SPORT? On this question we got a variety of different answers. Most of the teenagers do sport at least twice a week and so did our parents and grandparents when they were our age.
3. WHICH IS/WAS THE MOST POPULAR SPORT? These two pie charts show that football has always been part of our lives and the mostpopular sport amongst the youngsters.
4. WHO PRACTISE MORE, MEN OR WOMEN? Here we can clearly say that men used to practise more sport back in the day and they are still considered to do so today.
5. ARE/WERE THERE ENOUGH FACILITIES? When it comes to the facilities almost 80% of the teens think that there are enough facilities now. However the elderly are not so unanimous about this. Most of them (56%) think that there were enough facilities but 43% don't think so.
6. WHY DO/DID YOU PRACTISE SPORT? As we can see, there are two main reasons why people do sport: to stay healthy and as a hobby. In conclusion, sport has always been an important part of our lives and it will continue to be!
