Analyzing the surveys

Nowadays lots of teenagers start drinking alcohol or smoking in a young age and over time this can affect them health. A part of these, teenagers also have bad eating habits and some of them don’t do sport, this can also be a problem.

We had done some surveys where we asked different questions to teenagers.

In the survey about alcohol were 50 answers, about smoking were 30 answers, about eating habits were 57 answers and about sports were 40 answers.


DRINKING

-When and why did you start drinking?

Here we can see that teenagers, if they start drinking, they start between 12-15 years old but the most voted was that they haven’t started and that’s good news. The reasons why they started is social or personal and with these we can see that we are influenced by the society.








-When and what do you usually drink?

People answered that they only drink sometimes on party's or hanging out friends and the most popular drinks are beer and vodka but they don’t drink a lot. Here half of the answers were that they never drink or they don’t drink anything so this is good because these means that they are healthier and they know that drinking alcohol is not good.





























-Do you know any diseases related to alcohol?

Lots of teenagers know that there are diseases if you drink alcohol, but a 24% say that there aren’t so I think that the teenagers have to be more informed about the problems that can cause drinking alcohol.




SMOKING

-When and where do you smoke?

The majority of the teenagers that we asked (80.6%) don’t smoke. Then we asked when they started smoking and the answers were between 5-10 and 10-15.


-Where, when and how much do you smoke?

This small group that smoke, usually smoke at home or at public buildings in their free time. We also asked how many cigarettes they smokea day, and the most voted answer (not counting 0 because as we saw, a lot of teenagers don’t smoke) was 1 or 2, and then it was a percentage that say that they smoke more than 6 cigarettes a day.



















-Who smoke more?

In these surveys we also did a question that was: Do you think that men smoke more than women? The majority of the answers were that man smoke the same as women, then it was a 19.4% that think that women smoke more than men and a small group --think that men smoke more than women.


-Are there any diseases related to smoking?

A 71% answers that there are diseases if you smoke but a 29% said that there aren’t diseases or they don’t know anything about that and I think that the teenagers have to be more informed about this.



EATING HABITS

-The main meal:

We asked about the main meal and the answers were that the most important meal of the day is the breakfast and lunch and it’s prepared at home.












- What kind of food do you eat?

Nowadays we eat some things that are unhealthy like junk food or pre-cooked food or we drink soft drinks. We asked what kind of food do people usually eat and the most voted were meat and pasta. When we asked how often they eat junk food and pre-cooked food the variety of answers really were noticeable but to conclude the quantity of eating this products depends on the person. We also can see that people drink soft drinks but they don’t drink it a lot.





















-How often do you eat at restaurants?

The teenagers usually eat at restarurants once a month. Its also a big percentage that eats once a week.







Are you healthy?

Here a 77.2% of the teenagers that answered the survey said that they think that their eating habits are healthy and balanced. I think that this have to change and everybody has to have good eating habits because it’s very important to prevent illness.


SPORTS

Do you practice any sport?

In this question there were a lot of different answers. It were some people that said that they don’t do any sports, but the other teenagers do sports like football, volleyball, dancing, basketball...



How much sport do you do?

Here also depends on the person but the majority of the people do practice sport 3-4 times a week and 5-6 hours a week. There is some people that do a lot of sport because a 22.5% says that they do more than seven hours a week.











The most popular sport in our city:


Here the most popular sport is football because a lot of people like playing it. We also have a lot of facilities to practice sports like sports centers, sports halls, sports fields...








Who practise more sport and why they practise it?


We asked who practice more sport and the most voted answer was that both (men and women) practice the same. The reasons why people practice sport are like a hobby, to be fit and for Health.









Are there any diseases related to sport?

Here the most voted answer was that there are diseases related to sport but there is a 30% that think that there aren’t or they don’t know things about that.
